The research initiative is led by principal investigators Pamina Gorbach, DrPH, from the University of California, Los Angeles; Lisa Hightow-Weidman, MD, MPH, from Florida State University; and Sean Young, PhD, from the University of California, Irvine. The HMP platform, which serves as the foundation for this app, was developed by Dr. Hightow-Weidman, a recognized public health scientist.
